Healthy Seeds for the Eyesight, Sleep and Killing Cancer Cells

This is about pumpkin seeds. Why are these seeds good? A Spanish study proved that these seeds have items in them that can kill cancer cells. Pumpkin seeds have items that combat many cancers and remove inflammation too.

A German study said women that go through menopause must eat such seeds and lower by 23% the risks that follow.

1. Insomnia

These seeds have tryptophan an amino acid that treats insomnia and gives us more melatonin. A study of the Nutritional Neuroscience said tryptophan from gourd seeds with carbs together is great for curing insomnia. With just a few such seeds and fruit, you will make more melatonin.

2. Better sight

These seeds have zinc vital for the immunity. Also this makes better vision, sleep and mood, but skin too. Also you get more manganese, potassium, fiber, proteins, and phosphor. So, such seeds make you lose weight too and give you proteins to make you feel full. In 30 g you get 5 g protein.

3. Plant based protein bomb

The USDA said 1 cup roasted seeds have 258 calories, 11.87 g protein, 12.42 g fat, 11.8 g fiber. See how much protein that is? Plant sources for protein are usually different, but this one is meatless and just as good as meat! The fiber is a big plus and even though the fat seems too much, this is healthy fat.

4. Pumped potassium

We like and need potassium for the muscles health, regulated fluids, balanced minerals and good blood pressure. Also this prevents kidney stones and bone loss. The Institute of Medicine of the National Academies of Science says adults need at least 4.700 mg of this mineral daily and we all get almost half of this.

These seeds are rich in this mineral with 588 g in a cup. One medium banana gives you 422 mg.

5. Prostate health

Study said pumpkin seed oil and the seeds too are good for the prostate and curing benign prostaic hyperplasia or large prostate. Magazines reported that such seeds have phytosterols that shrink the prostate. Also they have chemicals that stop testosterone problems like DHT.

6. You get happier

Shape magazine said the L-tryptophan in such seeds improves the mood and cures depression. And the Times, of India, said eating such seeds before bed makes more melatonin for a good sleep.
